The South Coast Plaza West project consisted of the design and construction of a total remodel of Robinsons-May and complete interior and exterior remodel of South Coast Plaza West including new lighting throughout, and the addition of an 800-foot-long pedestrian bridge. Robinsons-May was remodeled into a 3-level open mall area for new environment.
The pedestrian bridge was added as a means of bridging South Coast Plaza and South Coast Plaza West, extending from South Coast Plaza West, and terminating at the Garden Plaza destination, designed by the world-renowned landscape designer, Kathryn Gustafson. The bridge provided a path for the interconnection of special communications and HVAC controls. FBA also, provided Electrical Engineering, Architectural Lighting Design, Telecommunications Systems and Fire Alarm Design Services.
